I used up all strategies to get a grading job for the past two years, but it never works. This semester, I simply give up trying.
Surprisingly, I become a grader this semester. That's strange, and of course, awesome! The two courses are numerical analysis for undergraduate and for graduate. I can't find a better TA job than that. Lucky, lucky!
The new semester will begin in two days. Get ready to back to work!
Drive a circle at 495
It is my first time to drive a whole circle for I495 around DC.
Of course, I will never do this just for fun. I drove 1/3 circle to drop a car, and another 1/3 circle to pick up my roommate, and another 1/3 circle to back home. What a day!
After the long car trip, I draw the following conclusion: the road is under construction if and only if you are in Virginia. Maryland does have better highway!

No doubt, it is a miracle!!
It is really difficult to find a new apartment, especially at the right time and with the right person.
Today, a miracle happens. We walked in to the leasing office, and immediately received a lease which starts at September 1 - the exact day my old lease ends. It's a nice apartment at the top floor. Most of my friends are going to be my neighbours.
Yesterday, when I dreamed about this kind of situation, everybody, including myself, laughed at me. But today, it becomes true. I am going to live with my closest friend here in a wonderful place!
I can't express my feeling very well because of my poor English. So, I made this conclusion:

Sometimes, I hate myself
I am a very lucky guy. I've got some precious friends who always help me and stand on my side. But sometimes, I am too dull to realize that these people who I care about are facing a hard time. I have done something so stupid that might even hurt them before I know what's going on.
I really do not mean to hurt them, and I know that they will forgive me because they know me. This feeling is the worst of the worst. I hate myself. Really!

Second semester in UMD
I haven't written down anything for a long time. It seems strange, because I am not too busy with my study and work. Maybe it is just because I am lazy.
The second semester in UMD is almost the same as the first one. I have to study, and teach. But everything goes well, especially now I can drive to the campus. It saves a lot of times.
I've got a group of good friends, and that is wonderful. I really enjoy the time that we have fun together, such as watching NBA together, playing bowling, and travel. Life is colorful with those friends. Some of them are leaving after this semester. I think I will miss them a lot. But luckily, I will have some new friends coming. Hopefully life will stay interesting as time goes by.
